CHARI M. ALSON, ESQ, CELA

Partner, Certified Elder Law Attorney

Chari is Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation and has been practicing in the areas of trust and estate administration, estate planning, and elder law since 2003. Chari received her Juris Doctor degree from Temple University, her Masters in Public Health and a Gerontology Certificate from Boston University School of Public Health, and her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University – New Brunswick and holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation. Chari is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and is an editorial board member of the NAELA News, is a board member of the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA) and serves on its Public Policy Committee, is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Elder Law Section Council, and is a co-Chair of the Delaware County Elder Law Committee.

Chari M. Alson, is a Certified Elder Law Attorney and Partner with Anderson Elder Law. Chari has been practicing in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law in Pennsylvania since 2003. 

 

Chari serves as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Elder Law Section, is a board member of the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA) and serves on its Public Policy Committee, is the Co-Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association, is a board member of the Chester County Estate Planning Council, is a co-Editor of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Elder Law Section Newsletter, and is a member of the NAELA News Editorial Board.  She is a co-Editor the Delaware County Elder Law Handbook and Resource Guide (7th and 8th editions), and was a contributing author to Elder Law in Pennsylvania, Chapter 3, Planning for Incapacity–Financial Issues (5th ed. PBI Press). 

 

Chari is a frequent lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in the areas of Elder Law and Estate Planning and has also presented to other professional education seminars and community groups. Chari holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the American Bankers Association (ABA) and is a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. 

 

Chari earned her juris doctor degree from Temple University, her Master’s in Public Health and Gerontology Certificate from Boston University School of Public Health, and her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. She lives in Garnet Valley with her two daughters.
