How to Join Your Zoom Meeting

Sometimes Zoom can feel confusing and that’s okay!

We understand that not everyone uses Zoom every day, and technology can sometimes make meetings feel overwhelming. This page is designed to make things simple. You’ll find easy step-by-step instructions below including how to join without downloading anything.

What You’ll Need

  • Your Zoom meeting link (we’ve emailed this to you).

  • A computer

  • An internet or Wi-Fi connection.

Option 1: Join With the Zoom App (Recommended)

This is the easiest if you plan to use Zoom more than once.

  1. Click the Zoom meeting link we sent you.

  2. Your browser will ask if you’d like to “Open Zoom” or “Download & Run Zoom.”

  3. If you don’t have Zoom yet, click Download and install it — it only takes a minute.

  4. Once it installs, click the meeting link again and your meeting will open automatically.

  5. When Zoom opens, click “Join with Computer Audio”

You’re in! You should now see and/or hear your attorney.

Option 2: Join Without Downloading Zoom (From Your Browser)

If you’d rather not install anything, you can still join easily from your browser.

  1. Click the Zoom meeting link we sent you.

  2. A new page will open that says something like “If nothing prompts from browser, download & run Zoom.”

  3. Look toward the bottom for a small link that says “Join from your browser.”

  4. Click that link.

  5. Type your name and click Join.

  6. When asked, click Allow to let your browser use your microphone or camera.

You’re now in the meeting (no download required).

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Don’t see “Join from your browser”? Refresh the page and look again near the bottom.

  • No sound? Click “Join with Computer Audio” or check if you’re muted.

  • Camera not working? Click “Allow” when your browser asks to access your camera.

  • Still having trouble? Call our office and tell us you’re trying to join Zoom and we’ll walk you through it.
