Our Team

Chari M. Alson, is a Certified Elder Law Attorney and a Senior Attorney with Anderson Elder Law.  Chari has been practicing in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law since 2003. 

Chari offers a broad range of elder law services and advice focused on the preservation of a client’s self-determination and supporting clients and their families in their journey through the long-term care system.  Chari has developed estate plans for individuals and families with varying levels of complexity and wealth to ensure that a family’s most important legacy issues are addressed.  She is experienced in all aspects of estate administration and also provides assistance with special needs planning matters involving both First-Party and Third-Party Trusts as well as uncontested Orphan’s Court matters, including guardianships.

Chari serves as the Co-Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Delaware County Bar Association, is a board member of the Chester County Estate Planning Council, is a co-Editor of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Elder Law Section Newsletter and is a member of the NAELA News Editorial Board.  She was a co-Editor of the 7^th edition of the Delaware County Elder Law Handbook and was contributing author to Elder Law in Pennsylvania, Chapter 3, Planning for Incapacity–Financial Issues (5^th ed. PBI Press). Chari has been a lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and has presented at numerous professional education seminars and to community groups on a wide variety of elder law and estate planning topics. Chari holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the American Bankers Association (ABA) and is a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA) and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). 

Chari earned her juris doctor degree from Temple University, her Master’s in Public Health and Gerontology Certificate from Boston University School of Public Health, and her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.  She lives in Garnet Valley with her two daughters.
